Last night about 11pm, I finally republished The Healthy Home Economist blog on its own unique domain: www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com !
Prior to yesterday, my blog had been published under Google’s “blogspot” domain, which was causing me some growth issues among other things.
Fortunately, Ann Marie of Cheeseslave told me last week that I needed to get my act together and get my own domain pronto. Don’t you just love folks who will tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear? Ann Marie is one of those people for me, and I am ever so grateful for her input.
Growth sometimes has its downsides, however, and my move to a unique domain caused a very unexpected one: all my Facebook and Twitter buttons were reset to zero! Yes, ZERO!
Yikes!
I was very dismayed when I saw that my most shared article of all time, Five Fats You MUST Have in Your Kitchen, went from 485 shares to none in the span of 15 minutes.
Major bummer!
It seems that there isn’t much I can do about the button reset other than going back to blogspot (which isn’t a good option), so, onward we must go. I am hopeful that many more Facebook shares and Tweets are in store for future articles as well as tweets/shares for the older articles as new folks find our little Blog of Refuge from the Propaganda.
This blog journey certainly is exciting and unpredictable at times. I am so glad all of you are along for the ride with me!

Thanks Rachel and Pavil! Sometimes you have to take a step back to take 2 steps forward. I appreciate you sharing the Dr. Oz post Rachel. This info has got to get out to more people. This type of misinformation is literally killing people.

Grats, Sarah.

I know it must be disheartening to lose that FaceBook and Twitter momentum but don't worry, in no time at all you'll have built right back up and exceeded it. I'll start with your Dr. Oz post 🙂
