As a mother of three boys, I learned from necessity how to handle injuries. After grasping the importance of knowing the fever remedies, I found myself memorizing injury remedies because of the very nature of my family.
Bangs, burns, bruises, bumps, concussions, cuts, contusions, cracks, fractures, splits, stabs, stings, swats, smacks, slams, slaps, punctures, punches, pricks. That was my usual day.

10:30 a.m. – Perry drives a shovel into foot while digging in the garden.
11:05 a.m. – Giuseppe gets a tick embedded in right ear.
12:00 p.m. – Lunch.
1:30 p.m. – Bee flying at warp speed implants itself in Peter’s right cheek.
2:15 p.m. – Perry gets an electric shock on the goat pen.
3:45 p.m. – Peter inhales a mosquito up right nostril.
5:00 p.m. – An argument over Legos results in a fistfight. Perry gets his nose punched off his face. (Or so it seemed that way.)
6:00 p.m. – Dad comes home.
6:30 p.m. – Dinner.
7:30 p.m. – Perry inhales bathwater in the tub.
8:30 p.m. — Bed.
8:35 pm- Whew!
This Is What Homeopathy Did For Me
I learned that it relieved the physical and emotional shock of accidents and injuries in short order. I have always heard that you are not supposed to combine different homeopathic remedies. I am wondering why you are encouraging that?
i know some say this, but in my 26 years of homeopathic studies and practice, i have found this to be not only incorrect, but too slow acting. some of the best remedies i know are pre-combined.
I love this homeopathic info! Ms. Calabrese is very refreshing! I have a pressing issue and would like to throw this out there and see what other’s experience has been with it; my husband has a 8-9 mm kidney stone and is being told that he needs lithotripsy. I am very nervous about that. They want to “punch” his kidney 50,000 times to break the stone down, so he can pass it. We have been doing home remedies ad nauseum for 4 weeks and nothing has changed…I am desperate for some advice or past experience info! It will be 6,000 dollars if we pay cash, since we don’t have insurance. Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Hopefully this will help. My sister had kidney stones also and no insurance. She was in a lot of pain. The doctors prescribed pain medication but it did not fix the problem. Our mother made her a tea out of Cola de Caballo (equisetum giganteum) and corn silk. She drank about a gallon and hasn’t had pain for about a year now.
My mother-in-law dissolved some with hydrangea.
Years ago I hear of this remedy: boil potatoes and drink the potato water.
This is great information. I’d love to actually work with a homeopath. Does any have the name of a good one? The location doesn’t matter as it looks like a lot do phone consults but I don’t want to use one without a recommendation.

While doing research for my book years ago, i frequented the University of Buffalo’s Medical Library where they archived homeopathy medical books and kits used in the local homeoapthy hospitals from the 1800’s to 1940’s. One of those days, when I was in the throws of my research, I contracted a splitting headache. (Likely from the moldy surroundings) and there, before me sat a homeopathy kit circa 1900. I asked myself “Am I stealing from the state by taking a dose or is this furthering my research?” Whether it was the call of science or the pain, I can’t say which was more compelling, I took (stole) a dose of Kali Bichromium 30 and within the usual 20 minutes, the pain metled away. THe pills were at least 80 years old and they were just as efficacious as the kit i keep in my linen closet!
I have found time and again that remedies are much more durable and have a greater longevity than most valued things in life. THose little pills never cease to amaze me.
