Is the United States a free nation? Â Most would agree that yes indeed, America is Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.
I myself am not confident this is really true anymore and I know many of you reading this would agree.
We have a Federal bureaucracy that has become so large and so powerful that it is literally running amok, trampling people’s rights each and every day in our communities and folks just go about their business like this is normal and ok.
In many states, people can’t even choose to drink milk straight from the cow and yet they can ride motorcycles without a helmet (yes, there is actually a law protecting this “right” in my home state of Florida) or go down to the corner liquor store and buy a case of cigarettes or a bottle of whiskey and drink themselves into oblivion possibly even killing someone with their vehicle on the way home.
Parents are increasingly losing control of healthcare decisions for their children with bureaucrats and social workers deciding what is best instead of the caregivers. Â Just a few weeks ago I was told by a so-called “holistic dentist” in my area that he required x-rays for every single dental cleaning visit for the children in his practice because if he didn’t, the state would consider it “supervised neglect”.
Does this make sense to you?
It is becoming increasingly apparent that a key skill for folks who wish to remain healthy in today’s environment is knowing how to use the word NO effectively.
NO is truly a beautiful word. Â It is many times one of the very first words a baby learns to say much to the chagrin of the parents.
Despite its negative connotations, the NO word can be very positive. Â It sets a boundary. Â It enforces limits.
NO draws a line in the sand.
If you’ve had trouble with the word NO in the past, you’d better start learning to get good with it.
Here are situations where using the word NO is necessary to health:
1) A state official comes to a privately owned residence or place of business without a warrant and tells you that the people are not allowed to take home the locally produced raw dairy which they have paid for and is rightfully theirs.
Answer: NO, as it appears that you do not have a warrant, please go away and let us go about our business. Â If and when you come back with a warrant, we would be happy to talk with you.
2) A TSA agent at the airport says you are required to go through the airport scanners which douse your body in health robbing radiation.
Answer: Â NO, I am innocent until proven guilty in America. Â I do not have to subject myself to radiation to prove it to you or anyone else. Â I opt-out.
3) A doctor tells you after a routine blood test that your cholesterol which is 220 is too high and that you need to take cholesterol-lowering meds to bring it down.
Answer: Â NO, my research tells me that women with the highest cholesterol live the longest. Â My Grandfather ate 2 eggs fried in butter every morning for breakfast and never had a heart attack and lived to be 97. Â I am going that route thank you.
4) The pediatrician tells you your baby has jaundice and that he needs to be blindfolded and put under lights for several hours a day even though he is only 2 days old and his liver hasn’t even started working yet to break down the bilirubin.
Answer: Â NO, I have confidence that this healthy baby will be able to handle the bilirubin on his own when his liver starts to actually work in a couple of days. Â I will take him outside in his diaper for brief jaunts in the sun which is what my mother did when I was jaundiced. Â I will skip the baby torture treatment thank you.
Have you gotten really good with the NO word? Â If not, you’d better start practicing. Â Your health may one day depend on it.
Below is one of the best demonstrations I have ever seen on how to effectively say NO to an overzealous bureaucrat intent on trampling your rights in violation of the Constitution of the United States.
You will not believe this video when you watch it.  Welcome to America, Police State.  My jaw was on the ground.  The guy in the video is absolutely brilliant handling immigration officials that have no jurisdiction whatsoever over American citizens when they are not crossing the border and are freely traveling within the United States.  He expertly demonstrates how to handle these people and get positive results with no physical confrontation.
Watch and learn my friends. Â What other situations have you experienced that require the proficient use of the NO word?

Before you say NO to a search within 100 miles of a US border you might want to read this. Homeland Security has by administrative means basically suspended your 4thh amendment rights within 100 miles of a US border. Which affects most of us since a large percentage of people live within 100 miles of the coast.
They can search you for no reason and confiscate your electronic devices on a whim.

So true. What is truly scary to me, is how the public school systems routinely search children and interrogate them, completely disregarding the basic rights guaranteed to them by our Constitution. They are conditioned to accept this treatment. In a few years these children will be voting citizens and members in our armed forces. Will they even hesitate to fire on Americans who are demanding that the government respect our rights?

I am so angry I didn’t know the bilirubin one – that one hits home, hard, because we were in the hospital extra days with my sweet baby under the lights with a mask. We went home with a bili-blanket, and that was only after I fought to go home. His little legs would shake while he laid on his back under the light… broke my heart. I had to fight to keep him in the hospital room as well, instead of going to the nursery, and sit in a HOT room while my postpartum hormones made me sweat even in normal temperatures. I hope someone else learns to say no – and understands their right to. I’m slowly, slowly learning…

When I made the cheerleading squad in college the athletic director told the entire cheer squad, basketball team, and volleyball team that we had to go to the schools “sports therapy doctor” to get full body x-rays before the season began. I asked my coach if I could opt out. She had never been asked that so she went to the director. He said that I could NOT opt out. The athletic director claimed that the x-rays would be used as a “before” if I was injured and needed another x-ray… they would compare the two to determine if the injury did in fact happen during the season. I spoke with a friend of mine who is a spinal surgeon and he was absolutely appalled that the college was requesting this of us. He wrote me out a letter to give to the “sports therapy doctor” and the athletic director about why I was opting out. The “doctor” ultimately ended his relationship with the college after this incident because he was not a doctor. He was a chiropractor. He was treating injuries on the sidelines as if he were a doctor and creating a lot business for his clinic. When the light was shined on him about all of the different laws he was breaking and all of the people he put at risk by doing this, he stepped away from role.

To the above commenter, I want to add that I have worked for an airline and have had the unfortunate experience of speaking with a few TSA agents current and former who are total perverts and talk about the things they do with the images and patting people down. Not to say all agents are like this. But I think perverts would be attracted to this type of work, so maybe there are more of them. Sorry to any good guys out there, but you should find a job where you don’t have to violate constitutional rights of citizens every day.

Wow! That video was something else! I was nervous watching it, part of me expected the officers to drag the guy out of his car and start the beating or something. The guy did a pretty good job of staying calm yet forceful. I can’t believe the second officer asked someone to run his plates. In my state that is totally illegal unless he has some kind of visible violation already. Now saying this, my husband is a police officer and a really good one, he would never participate in that. Most of the cops he works with are also great people. We don’t live in a huge city, there tends to be more of this type of things in those places I think.

Ha – that’s my husband in the YouTube clip! Small world. Great post!
Just FYI: Yes, you can opt out of airport scanners. But: the TSA may decide to do an invasive patdown instead of a “regular” one. This has happened to my husband twice. The agent each time basically told him they would be touching “sensitive areas”, and when my husband told them that was fine so long as they didn’t touch ***that*** part, both times he was put in handcuffs and set on the ground as airport police investigated, and then not allowed on the flight. Because of this, he no longer flies at all, whereas he used to fly for business every week.

D love a link directly to this you tube video so I can spread the word. Couldn’t get a link off the imbed.
Agree
I think you need to speak at a homeschooling conference too. I know you don’t homeschool, but it is amazing how much the school districts try to bully homeschooling parents. Often, these parents are told they are required to do certain things which they aren’t really required to do by law! But the school districts don’t like homeschoolers as they lose out on more money for their schools. But these parents give in since “somebody with a government job” told them they needed to. It’s all OVER the place!
