Fermented lemon and garlic cleanse once or twice per year to promote arterial health and overall circulatory benefits.
A doctor friend recently shared this recipe for a potent lemon garlic elixir with me.
The source for this arterial cleanse is Dr. Cristof Plothe, DO and Naturopath. This information is intended for distribution far and wide. (1)
Circulatory Cleanse
Given the current environment with people having all manner of sudden onset cardiovascular events (yes, we all know why), this potent purity shot for facilitating blood flow within arteries and veins seems especially pertinent.
This lemon-garlic cure can also be helpful for those of us who do not have mRNA in our system.
The artery cleanse is performed once or twice each year to detox circulatory vessels and help preserve them in as tip-top shape as possible.
This home remedy has quite a bit of scientific research to back up its effectiveness. I’ve linked to a few of the main ones in the references section below. (2-5)
The artery-cleansing effect is based on the Food Synergy of fermented lemon and garlic enhanced by the anti-inflammatory herbs turmeric, ginger, and black pepper.
Below is the link to Dr. Plothe’s PDF.
I’ve included the recipe in a schema beneath in case some of you would like to print it out for easier mixing in the kitchen.
I hope you find this detox recipe helpful for yourself or someone in your circle of family and friends.

Transfer the liquid into a clean glass jar and refrigerate. You may compost the solids that remain in the cheesecloth or use as a food seasoning.

Consume this amount once per day after a meal for three weeks. Take a break for one week and then repeat for an additional three weeks.

Hi
Thanks for this recipe, would it be ok without the Sauerkrout, hard to get that where I live or can I use something else?
thanks Diane

I’m inquiring if the artery cleanser should be shaken daily during its four days fermenting on the counter?
Thank You!
Sarah Pope
You don’t need to shake it. A gentle turn once or twice is fine if you would like to do that, but you don’t have to.

I made this using the recipe printed here and not the pdf. I read the pdf just now it says to use a ceramic bowl, wooden spoon and strain through a non metallic. Nothing about what materials to use was in the recipe on this page. I used a stainless steel bowl and spoon and strainer. I hope it’s ok because I made three batches! 6 lemons and 45 garlic cloves!
Is it ok to use? Please let me know.
Thank you,
Jill

The recipe method is fine…I just strain fermented foods using slightly different equipment that is easier to use in my opinion. You are good 🙂

Dr. Plothe’s information says to perform this cleanse one or two times per year. However, the instructions indicate a 3 week on, 1 week off regime which seems to be continuous. Would it be appropriate to continually cycle this cleanse? Thank you
Sarah Pope
This is for folks who wish to stay on it continuously. That is your call.
Robert Gomez
The recipe instructions seem to say that one time per year actually constitutes seven continuous weeks per year. You would take the cleanse once a day for three weeks, skip a week, and then take it for another three weeks. After that, you would take it again the following year (during another seven-week period) or later in the same year if you’ve decided to take it twice a year.
