One of the most popular articles on this site is how I healed my child’s cavity using the protocol recommended by Dr. Weston A. Price DDS, a dentist who penned the incredible book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration back in the 1930s.
Granted, the cavity I healed was an early cavity .. it was a hole in one of my child’s top front incisors and it filled in within weeks to be as smooth as the teeth next to it.
But what about a tooth with a really bad cavity? Â What if the cavity has actually eaten into the pulp of the tooth and your dentist recommends a root canal?
Guess what? Â You can save these teeth too.
The protocol for healing teeth even in such a state of complete degeneration is described in the book Cure Tooth Decay by Rami Nagel. This article on saving damaged teeth without a root canal provides a compelling testimonial of this approach.
I had the privilege of talking to Rami personally at the Wise Traditions Conference last year.
I have no doubt that our conversation helped to enable me to heal my child’s cavity some months later and write about it hopefully helping thousands of people in the process do the exact same thing.
Watch this video featuring Rami Nagel which describes the diet required to avoid and heal teeth at risk for a root canal. Even teeth that are in need of an immediate root canal can be helped.
If you have teeth in such a severe state of decay and think there is no hope, think again. Proper, traditionally based nutrition can work wonders even in these types of situations where the teeth need root canals. Make sure you listen through the whole video to be sure you understand Rami’s description of all aspects of the diet required to heal root canal teeth. It’s much more involved than taking a couple of supplements. There is no quick fix.
In addition, the diet required to heal the root canal teeth needs to be continued so that the problem does not re-emerge in the future.

I changed to traditional eating about 2 yrs ago. (I should say ‘back to’ traditional eating since I am in my 60’s and ate this way as a kid) and I can’t tell you how much better I feel. (off the low fat, low cholesterol diet crap) The thing that I find amazing is this. I have ridges or something on both upper front teeth near to the gum and about half way down. It is obvious when the dentist scrapes during a cleaning but wasn’t really noticable to other people. I could feel the missing area of tooth with my tongue. The dentist said it wasn’t decay but wanted to fill it in. I didn’t do it bacause I didn’t want more of my tooth removed to hold the filling. Well, low and behold! I can barely feel any ridges today! My teeth have filled themselves in! I can’t wait to see the dentist to hear what she’ll say.
And, Celeste, thanks for the heart recipe. I’ll try it soon.

I just ordered the ebook and am reading it now. I have serious pain and sensitivity and 2 broken teeth I know of, one is in the front of my mouth. I haven’t read to much of the book yet, but could this be fixed or are there certain cases for dentists? I would like to try to fix it naturally but it is painful and I want to smile again.
Also, does anyone use MI Paste? I saw it on WAP, but just curious of personal testimonies!
Thank you for all this helpful information Sara!

Hi Jennifer,
I’ve heard of MI Paste, but I wouldn’t recommend it as it contains glycern. Each tooth contains about 3 miles of microtubules through which a type of lymph fluid flows through to help remineralize your teeth. Glycern plugs up these microtubules and takes a lot of rinsing to remove. Most toothpastes have this problem has well. I highly recommend you read Rami’s book Cure Tooth Decay. He goes into detail on this in the 2nd addition in his book.

“Each tooth contains about 3 miles of microtubules through which a type of lymph fluid flows through to help remineralize your teeth” – so this is THE ANSWER!
I saved 2 of my root canals, whereas in the past I used to be a ginny pig:

Thank you Sara! Amazing post along with ALL the related info. Still haven’t ordered some of that FCLO yet… but getting on it today! I too noticed those trolls on the other blog post and frankly had to LOL!!! I’ve been reading your stuff for a few weeks now and it was the first time noticing an “attack” as such against you, although no doubt there have been many. You, dear woman, should wear that as a badge of Honor and Courage! When you are pissing THEM off enough that they send their dogs out to get ya …… priceless!!! 😉 <3

My son had a bad cavity; pain, big brown spot on his tooth, throbbing cheek. We started the protocol that evening. Next morning his pain was almost gone. It was completely gone by that night. The throbbing disappeared by the next day and in the following 2 weeks the brown spot vanished and he has had not pain since. I know this works!

i’m pretty sure it specifically says in the book that once you have drilled, it can’y be remineralized.

@Keria I personally would not have a filling removed and see if it heals on its own. This would be uncharted territory and a big risk I think.

Thanks for this! I’m trying to learn more about all of this. Interesting!

What if it was just a porcelain filling? I have one of those. Since the drilling is apparently different, I wonder if it would be more feasible. All I know is that filling has caused me pain ever since I got it and I would love to have it removed, silly thing. 😉
