One of the most popular articles on this site is how I healed my child’s cavity using the protocol recommended by Dr. Weston A. Price DDS, a dentist who penned the incredible book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration back in the 1930s.
Granted, the cavity I healed was an early cavity .. it was a hole in one of my child’s top front incisors and it filled in within weeks to be as smooth as the teeth next to it.
But what about a tooth with a really bad cavity? Â What if the cavity has actually eaten into the pulp of the tooth and your dentist recommends a root canal?
Guess what? Â You can save these teeth too.
The protocol for healing teeth even in such a state of complete degeneration is described in the book Cure Tooth Decay by Rami Nagel. This article on saving damaged teeth without a root canal provides a compelling testimonial of this approach.
I had the privilege of talking to Rami personally at the Wise Traditions Conference last year.
I have no doubt that our conversation helped to enable me to heal my child’s cavity some months later and write about it hopefully helping thousands of people in the process do the exact same thing.
Watch this video featuring Rami Nagel which describes the diet required to avoid and heal teeth at risk for a root canal. Even teeth that are in need of an immediate root canal can be helped.
If you have teeth in such a severe state of decay and think there is no hope, think again. Proper, traditionally based nutrition can work wonders even in these types of situations where the teeth need root canals. Make sure you listen through the whole video to be sure you understand Rami’s description of all aspects of the diet required to heal root canal teeth. It’s much more involved than taking a couple of supplements. There is no quick fix.
In addition, the diet required to heal the root canal teeth needs to be continued so that the problem does not re-emerge in the future.

Sarah is there a way to find a “traditional” dentist who in your area? I didn’t know if there was a database or anything. I have had a terrible time finding one in the dc/metro area.

Sarah I would love to know what your husband did with his root canals as well. Just had one done two days ago to a tooth that had cracked in half. I go to a biological dentist. He tried to save the tooth with out doing the root canal but after three weeks of increasing pain he said the tooth was dying and he had to do the root canal. I’m not sure if I should leave it in or yank it and put in an implant or nothing at all.

Ive been using Vicco Ayuverdic glycerin free toothpaste now for several months, finally got raw Dairy and take FCLO and butter oil as much as i can afford plus using grassfed butter on things and the calcification and demineralization on the surfaces of my teeth near the gum lines is going away! I’m so excited! ALL my teeth were starting to look just bad, yellow and rotten at the gum lines, with enamel forming white pre-decay and breaking down. Since even just taking these few steps it has been an amazing difference! I haven’t even been able to stop with the sugar and grains yet a whole lot, either! So now onto the raw organ meats and to get the sugar and grains OUT of my diet! I find the last stated so difficult!!

I would like to know about how real this healing is and where to draw the line and go to the dentist. The only healthy teeth in my mouth are the 4 bottom front teeth, every other tooth has something wrong with it. And I an only 26! I need a bridge or something across my front teeth from k-9 to k-9 and can barely chew soft food on either side of my mouth because of severe pain. I also have a tooth half broken in the front that needs to be extracted. I can tell it has effected my health in a negative way, but when can you not heal your teeth?? I want the dental work so I can get pregnant again so I don’t think the natural method would work. Would it??
I am planning a trip to Mexico but dread loosing all my teeth at such a young age. I have had dental issues since I was a baby and now I think it is to late. I need help!!

I would love to know what to do about a tooth that has had a root canal also. One was partially done on my years ago without my knowledge and they never told me I had to go back and have it finished. I have had an infection in the upper part of my mouth ever since, but I don’t know what to do about it as the tooth is already dead. Would love to know…

thehealthyhomeeconomist – PLEASE explain about having root canals removed. Does the entire tooth get removed? What takes its place? These are questions I desperately need answered! My son has a top front tooth that he broke off at the gum line 4 years ago. The root canal was done essentially against my express consent, and I would do anything to go back and fight tooth and nail (literally) to stop the guy from doing the root canal. Now that it’s too late, I really need to know what options I have to get that root canal out, and his mouth made healthy and whole. He’s only 13, but I really would like to get this done ASAP.
