In this nuts and bolts video, I show you exactly how I swallow cod liver oil and high vitamin butter oil every day! Â My kids take it the very same way.
That’s right. Â I’m slugging it down for the whole wide world to see.
You now have no excuse. Â This is how to get those critical nutrients A, D, and K2 every single day – quickly and painlessly. Â You won’t get enough any other way more unless you eat pretty close to perfect and eat liver 2-3 times a week (who does?) so get a grip and start taking it already! Â Ok?
If you have a child too young to take cod liver oil by spoon, you can always try the bottoms-up approach. This works very well for diapered children.

How to Swallow Cod Liver Oil without Gagging
In the video below, I demonstrate exactly how to get cod liver oil down without gagging. This is the easy process I’ve used for years in our home and it works great for toddlers and adults alike.
Ideally, cod liver oil should be taken with butter oil for maximum benefit. You can get butter oil and cod liver oil from the best manufacturers here.
Once you have established this healthful daily habit, you will be shocked to notice colds and flus slowly disappear from your household. In fact, my oldest is almost 18 years old and no antibiotics have been used during his entire childhood or that of his two younger siblings. Yes, it is possible to raise children with zero antibiotics. Â I’ve done it three times and learning to swallow cod liver oil so it isn’t a big drama every single day is a big reason why.

Hi !
In the video, you show that you take the CLO and the butter oil separately. Do you do it because it is more economical than taking them both combined, as offered by Green Pastures ? Or is it preferable to take both of these products separately ? I wonder, since I take them both together and find it much easier to take, as I just take the amount with a spoon and just swallow it down. Thanks !

Does anyone know if you can squeeze some fresh lemon or lime into a bottle of unflavored FLCO? Is that in any way inadvisable? Because it’s day 4 now, and while I feel much better, the taste is getting a bit much. Even using the technique in the video… the aftertaste is still there.

I put the gel in a spoonful of very soft homemade ice cream. It slides right down & you can’t even taste it. I have tried it, & my kids take it this way every day – they even ask for it! They are 2, 4, 5 yrs. old.

I have CLO that is expired by nine months. Too far gone?? I don’t suppose that makes it fermented… 🙂

Hi Sarah
Could you point in in the direction of where I can find the right dosage my me and my kids
thank you
Kris
I wanted to thank you for this video! My six and four year old just swallow it off of a spoon. The four year old doesn’t mind at all, but my six year old said to me one time, “Mom, I don’t like it, I just do it ‘cuz it’s good for me.” I let him watch your video with me and the next day he tried your method. He was amazed that the taste wasn’t that bad!

I find this highly amusing, because I don’t find FCLO to be at all bad tasting. 😛 In fact, I quite enjoy the flavor of it, it’s like eating tinned fish or fresh raw mackerel.
For those of you complaining, suck it up! 😛
Chris
We take the Butter Oil/FCLO blend and its more solid from the fridge. My wife got the idea of just popping it into the bottom of a glass with a swallow or two of water, fresh juice or raw milk and downing it almost as if it were a pill. It’s a breeze to take that way.

Becky, my butter oil is also a non-uniform texture. I keep it in the fridge.

I’m taking both FCLO and butter oil. I’m nursing a 5 month old so I’m taking 1.5 to 2 tsp per day. I’ve been breaking this up into .5 tsp doses throughout the day. As long as you take both products together is it equally good to take your full daily dose in one shot or spread over several doses? Does it matter whether you take it with food or separately? Thanks!
