Ingredients

  • 2 Tbl chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground oregano or 3 tsp freshly and finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 3 cloves freshly minced
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1.5 tsp sea salt finely ground
  • 1 tsp onion powder optional. Add if you don't caramelize freshly chopped onions in butter before browning with the taco meat.

Instructions

  1. Mix all the herbs and spices together in a small glass bowl.

  2. Store in an airtight container in the pantry or your spice cabinet. I recommend glass for the best preservation of flavor. If making with fresh garlic and oregano, store in the refrigerator.

  3. I typically use 1 tablespoon of this taco mix to season every 1 pound of taco meat.
